Mr. Sassman's 4th Grade Class Blog

Quiet Sunday afternoon. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful backdrop to our wonderful school.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR STATES POT LUCK A HUGE SUCCESS!!!
There was a lot of positive feedback and it appeared that all had a delicious...I mean great time too. The kiddos learned a lot in the unit and I hope it was apparent on their poster boards. We will keep those up this week and send them home Friday. Thanks again for all your support and coming out on such a snowy evening.

Band and Orchestra Concerts this week
On Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 1 PM and 7 PM,  the Pearl Creek Student Band and Orchestra will have their annual winter concert. Come by during the day or after school to see!!!

So here is how our new book reports are going to go: Biographies (I will send home a calendar of dates that students will pick to give their presentations in class). They will chose their dates this week.
  • Part one will be to keep a reading log (reading at home, filled out at home, turned in when finished with each sheet)
  • Part two will be step books (done in class)
  • Part three will be a Google Slides Presentation (started in class and may be worked on at home)
I am catching up on grading this weekend/week so please be patient...there is a lot to get to, I would like to be thorough and fair!

GOOGLE DRIVES - I am going to keep this information here for a while
  • You can access all of your student's digital assignments online and work at home if you would like. Just go to www.gmail.com and type in their email address and password. Then find the Google Menu (where you will find the Drive, Docs, and Slides) icon in the top right corner (it is a nine square grid next to their s-number). This is where they will make their Google Slides Presentation for their Biography Book Reports. It is as follows:
Username: s#@student.k12northstar.org (for example: s123456@student.k12northstar.org)
Password: s#g (for example: s123456g)
